You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use Mela. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post spam, misleading content, or create fake plans.
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users.
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the app for commercial solicitation without permission.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the service.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create (plans, messages, profile information). By posting, you grant Mela a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute this content within the app.

We may remove content that violates these terms or our community guidelines without prior notice.

6. Safety and Meetups

Mela facilitates connections between families but is not responsible for offline interactions. Users are advised to:

• Meet in public, well-lit places.
• Inform someone about your plans.
• Exercise caution when meeting new people.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

Mela is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mela shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mela harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

10. Modifications

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
